Sarens was recently tasked with loading out, transporting, and lifting a tank for client Energomontaż - Północ Bełchatów for PKN Orlen’s ANWIL plant in Włocławek, Poland. Sarens was responsible for offloading the tank from a barge onto SPMTs, transporting it to the installation site, and assembling it on site.
For this operation, Sarens used 14 SPMTs with power packs, as well as an AC700 and AC250 crane, which were deemed optimal for this type of project. The equipment was transported from Gdańsk and Łódź via 16 trucks, and took eight hours to set up.
To complete the load out and transport operation, Sarens had to carefully plan the route from the quay to the installation site. Following a pre-agreed transportation plan that accounted for the height of viaducts and width of the roadway and bends, Sarens offloaded and transported the 9-tonne tank from the barge to the installation site. The tank measured 26,7m high with a radius of 2,20m.
The project had to be completed within the four days that equipment was on site, with lifting operations lasting a full day. Four Sarens crew members were involved with this project, and Sarens would like to thank everyone who worked so hard to make it a success.
