Vatana Phaisal Engineering, with over 60 years of expertise in steel fabrication, mechanical and piping installation, and modularisation services, called upon Sarens to support its production of custom steel structures and prefabricated components. These modules are essential for large-scale construction and industrial projects worldwide.
Sarens was entrusted by Vatana Phaisal Engineering (VPE) to execute critical heavy lifting tasks at its Sattahip plant in Chonburi, Thailand.
Sarens deployed its GMK 5220-220T mobile crane at the Sattahip facility. With a lifting capacity of 220 tonnes and advanced hydraulic adaptability, this crane was instrumental in lifting vessels weighing approximately 23.4 tonnes and standing 18 meters tall, as well as heat exchangers of 22 tonnes and 9.2 meters in height. These components will be vital in constructing high-performance modules.
Before commencing operations, Sarens conducted a comprehensive engineering study to address the spatial constraints at the Sattahip site. Safety protocols and maneuvering strategies were carefully devised to ensure seamless coordination with VPE’s ongoing activities at the plant.
The Sarens team meticulously planned each lift, including placing loads within a 14-meter radius, slewing them 120 degrees, and installing them onto their final foundations. This level of precision minimised disruption and ensured the highest safety standards.
Reflecting on the collaboration, Ukrit Phorjai, Sarens Sales Manager, stated, “We thank Vatana Phaisal Engineering for the trust placed in our work and the exceptional support provided at the Sattahip plant. Their dedication to safety and excellence aligns perfectly with Sarens’ philosophy, and we look forward to collaborating on future projects.”
As VPE continues to innovate in modularisation and industrial fabrication, Sarens remains a trusted partner, ready to support their ambitious endeavors with world-class lifting solutions.
