Sarens was asked by our client CNCEC to replace tube bundle and duct at the Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries complex in Karabatan, Atyrau, Kazakhstan.
The site was narrow and congested due to overhead pipelines, trenches, manhole, light poles, fire hydrant, etc. The tube bundle weighed 130T and the duct weighed 56T. The team had to carefully plan the lift and select the equipment to address the challenge posed by narrow space and the load. Manitowoc M 18000 and Kobelco CKE 2500 were shortlisted to perform the lifts.
The cranes were mobilised from Uzbekistan to Karabatan, travelling around 2500km. It took the crew five days to carefully assemble the equipment in the congested area available. The old duct and tube bundle was cautiously removed, and the new duct and tube bundle was installed.
Stiyo CS, Sarens Operations Manager stated, "Our client contacted Sarens trusting our capability to safely perform the critical lifts in narrow working area.” He added, “The hard work and precision of our team led us to successfully complete the lifts on time.”
