Sarens announced its complete TCI (Transport, crane, and installation) package for the Indian market in 2022 and this past May we have successfully completed the first TCI project in India for our client Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions Pvt Ltd in Babra, India.
As part of the project the team had to lift sixteen EN3.3MW 140mHH WTGs from the factory to site storage yard, unload them at the storage yard, transport to the site location, unload, and finally erect the WTGs.
The challenging project required precise planning and powerful equipment to provide a specialized TCI service package to the client.
Sany 800A with HJFJDB_5 _ 150 Main boom +12m Fly jib configuration was selected as the main crane as it can easily lift critical weight safely. Its high efficiency and ease of assembly made it the ideal crane for the project.
The equipment was taken to the site from Gujarat and assembled in approximately two days. According to the Sarens Associate VP Wind, Saravanan K, “The team faced various obstacles and challenges during WTG logistics but our operation experts handled it with proper risk assessment and mitigation plan.”
The WTG components including tower shell, nacelle, hub, and blades were transported and erected. The nacelle weighing 90T was lifted at a height of 140m. More than 40 personnels were involved in the transportation phase, around seven personnels for off-loading, and fourteen personnels for lifting and installation, working day and night.
The 16 WTGs were transported and installed in Five months and the client was very satisfied by our TCI services. Sarens will also be providing TCI services to Clean MAx for their other projects in the country as well.
